I was born in the 1960s and raised in Northborough, Massachusetts. In 1978, I relocated to northern New Jersey for several years before returning to Massachusetts in 1985. I learned many of my skills by working in various aspects of the insurance industry, including ten years as the system administrator and accounting manager for a local insurance agency in Westborough. In 1995, I moved into the technical support arena, working for Delphi Information Systems in Scottsdale, Arizona. In June 1999, Paul Reynolds and I launched Intranet Concepts, developing and supporting intranet products for independent insurance agencies throughout the United States and Canada. For many years now, I have presented workshops at various user group conferences and meetings all over the country. My web design experience began in 1997 when I worked with a colleague to create a software toolkit in HTML while learning how to write code from my trusty HTML for Dummies book. Over the years, I've designed and maintained over 50 web sites, including those currently listed in my portfolio. I continually strive to learn new skills and techniques as web technology evolves. After 14 years of marriage, I have been happily single for over six years and enjoy a relatively quiet life in Montrose with my close friends. I have been a devoted member of Hillcrest United Church of Christ since moving to Montrose over ten years ago. Aside from computers, my interests include gardening and puttering around my house and yard. |
